Hi, I also have an Echo 1 SCAR and I can't figure out how to take the gear box out of the lower receiver. The selector switch and mag release seem to be made to never come out of their places. The exploded diagram on the back of the manual isn't much help. 6mm, If you could help out with this, you would have an exclusive. There doesn't seem to be a single person out there who knows how to do this and wants to share it. I looked EVERYWHERE. If some one else has already done this, and I can't find it PLEASE let me know. (I'm getting a little desperate)

Hi,
I am very sure the G36 has a v3 mechbox. v3's are stronger than v2's (which is what- I think- an SCAR has.
I would definitely upgrade before sticking a lipo into a JG/ JLS!
If you go tightbore, get a JBU for lower priced barrel, or the best- EdGI, PDI, or Prometheus.
You can buy from Redwolf airsoft (UK/ Hong Kong).

Does anybody know what version mechbox is in the JLS SCAR Light and also in the latest JG G36C? Can either of these be upgraded for LiPo ready motors & mechboxes. to upgrade to better quality barrels which should I be looking at and where is a good place to look to buy these parts in the UK?

Any help on any of these points would be most welcome.

Cheers,
Mel

Hey peeps inquiring if this breakdown is similar to the CA Scar, sorry, not even the same gun other than outside appearance. The only thing similar is the motor removal. There are way fewer screws in the CA since the upper body is a one piece machined aluminum. This takedown looks really similar to an M4.

Hi Chris!
Make sure the following are done right:
1- No bb is stuck in the barrel (use high quality bb's!)
2- Is the nozzle/ hop unit in workable condition?
3- Do you have a blown fuse inside the small black fuse case in the handguard/ butstock?
If not this, then work on the gearbox in these ways!!
1- Check the shimming (is it perfect? This is a very important point!!)
2- Is motor up to the job?
3- Is battery fully charged?
4- Are gears designed to pull such a spring that you're using?
If all these are checks, then the gun should work again. However, make sure to lube that barrel frequently!

The Classic Army SCAR-L is very easy to disassemble if you need to you can go to the CA website and download the manual. The only difficult part is removing the gear box as I'm told I haven't done it on mine yet. The only issue I have is getting a new hop up chamber as mine is messed right up. Does anyone here know if it's possible to get a replacement? Or if there is an after market one that is better?
