Modular Gearset Video by WGC

respond

Kitty at WGC sent us note to let us know about their new video of the modular gear set being installed in “5 minutes”.

The obvious advantage is not having to shim, align or time the gears – which is a major time saver especially for someone just getting started in repairing their own airsoft guns.

Since it’s YouTube and made in China, the quality is not great and there’s no talking throughout the video. I’ve asked Kitty and WGC to send us one of these modular sets to review and install, let’s hope they do!

  1. man, thats what I need, but it’s like 80 bucks or more, than spending hours on the gears on the gear aligning them right

  3. Just thought you should know, they are located in Japan, not China :)
The first time I opened a gear box, the shims got me good!
I would like to know what kind of abuse they can take, and what spring they are rated for. Wish they would offer them in the FTK’s :)

  4. Zack, thanks for the comment. I was referring to where the video was made (not the gearset itself). I’d like to get my hands on a few of these and stress test them too!

  5. Sir, I am now using this kind of modular gear with stock spring. so far so good. Now I am planning to upgrade my stock spring…..Is it okay if i will use TECHPRO PT-140?..What is the maximum spring rate for this Modular gear?…

  6. Well a friend of mines uses the Mod-Gear for a M120 and a M130(Prometheus) Spring and hasnt had any problems so far.
But in my honest opinion i wouldnt go further than a M130.

  7. Hey the modify gears that were used in this video. DO NOT put shims on the bottom gear (the one that the motor touches). have it floating there and your rate of fire will go up by alot.
