I just wanna thank you guys at mechbox.com for uploading this. I was about to go to my airsoft shop tomorrow and get one of these installed for $20. But thanks to you guys, I did it myself for free.
Thanks
P.S. I think you should switch your video player to youtube or something because this one is kinda slow
by Pat February 9th, 2009I just recently upgraded my airsoft gun, at it works.
The only problem is that there is no longer any semi automatic fire. The gun just shoots at Full auto. The safety still works
Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this problem?
by Scott D. February 10th, 2009@ Pat, thanks for the feedback. Have you tried the other player we use like the one on this page? http://www.mechbox.com/m4m16/m733-disassembly.html I’m curious to know if this player is any better for you. Thanks!
by 6mm February 10th, 2009yeah that one works better than the one on this video
by Pat February 14th, 2009you should use that one for future videos or youtube
can you make one video for rewiring of 3rd version gearbox?i have a serious problem with a G36C JG
by george February 16th, 2009hi
i am having a little trouble with installing a rear wired gearbox into my metal body. how can i get my wires into the buffer tube for a crane stock??
plus what wire kit do you recommend for a rear wired hk416 with crane stock??
by oliver February 17th, 2009can you help??
oliver
@ oliver – Great question. I’ll try to demonstrate in video how to get those wires through the back of your M4 body. Basically, there’s a small plastic “tab” that can either be swapped out from a M15/16 body, or you can cut that tab to allow the wiring to pass through.
by 6mm February 17th, 2009@ george – Rewiring a V3 is essentially the same as the V2. Obviously, the trigger assembly and some parts may be different, but overall the procedure is very much the same. We’ll eventually get to making a V3 rewiring video for the AUG, G36, AK-47, etc.
by 6mm February 17th, 2009that sounds great a video would be of great help.
can you recommend me a rear wire kit for a ver.2 gear box (crane stock)???
by oliver February 19th, 2009Were could I purchase one of theses kits?
by mike February 20th, 2009@ Mike – Here’s one place to check: http://www.airsoftextreme.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=443_444_459
by 6mm February 20th, 2009nice vid so helpful! just wondering where I can get a new trigger set???
by AB March 12th, 2009is there a way i can replace the wire without replacing the whole thing.
by mark April 13th, 2009@Scott D.
I also had that same problem, and I figured out that it was caused by your switch assembly not sitting perfectly inside your gearbox…
by Paul April 27th, 2009So the best would be to transfer the wires of your new wiring/switch assembly, to your old one (maybe a little modification for the fitting would be required) but that will fix your semi-auto!
I had to switch gear boxes, in doing so i have lost semi auto. How can i fix this?
by chris May 10th, 2009Hi chris,
by R7 May 22nd, 2009A number of things can go wrong-
1- The cut off lever might be worn
2- Look at the nub at the bottom of the sector gear which contacts the Cut off lever- is it worn?
3- The selector plate might be worn or have some other problem- is the spring attatched to the selector plate/ Cut off lever? If it is (compare on the net with worn and new) then get a guarder or systema so it never happens again). Prometheus is too overpriced.
4- If all else fails, then this should be the fix:
The wiring cradle (the part of the wire assembly that gets pushed forward when the trigger is pulled may have a tab worn on its left side which makes contact with the CU lever. The outcome is loss of semi auto. I think this happened to me and am buying a new switch assembly to fix it.
I highly doubt there are ANY OTHER REASONS why this can happen. If all these function, then semi auto will work.

I want to get some low resistance wiring for my g&g gr16. Are there and specific brands you would suggest more than others?
by Zach June 10th, 2009Please try to visit this website, it might be helpful. http://www.acmairsoft.com, http://www.filairsoft.com, http://www.aisoft-community.net. Enjoy playing airsoft
by Thunder June 29th, 2009@Chris
When u put back the “wiring cradle” be sure the cutoff lever is in its lowermost position. If u don’t do that, when the CO lever is engaged by the sector gear pushing it up, the CO doesn’t catch the wiring cradle to stop the cycle after one shot.
by tex July 9th, 2009hello, i opened up my MP5 recently and noticed that the trigger safety lever is broken. do i need to replace this peice for the gun to work, or is it able to operate without it. i dont mind losing semi auto, but if i loose all operation then i will obviously order a new one.

by please help me! - Airsoft Forum & MILSIM - AirsoftSociety.com August 11th, 2009do you need to buy a kit? i just have a standered dboy gearbox can i not just rewire using the standered pieces
by og August 11th, 2009I just went to swap out my old wiring with some new KA low rresistance wiring and I noticed that thesey do not have the metal tabs bent up on it to make contact with the selector plate. Should this be like this.
by Dave September 12th, 2009Thanks Paul.. i had the same problem like Scott did ^^
by Incuby November 3rd, 2009Hi, Im experiencing some problems with my Classic army SCAR-H.
by Kristian K. November 16th, 2009It shoots two pellets at a time on semi auto mode, for every 10 shots or so.
What could be the reason for this?
Hi Guys, I love ur video, it help a lot….. thank u…. And I have a question, what do you prepare to use a metal bushing or metal bushing with bearing?
