M733 Reassembly
Now that you’ve taken the M733 apart, this video will show you how to put it back together.
The M4 and M16 are very similar to the M733 – so you can use this guide for most other models. You will see differences with the M16VN and other manufacturers like ICS, Classic Army, JG and so on.

I would like to convert my new Echo 1 614 from a rail battery box to a crane battery stock. I have dissassembled and assembled it several times successfully. My question is can I just purchase a crane battery stock, battery and simply re-route the wires throught the upper receiver to the buffer tube? Thanks for any help and/or suggestions!
by Duane July 10th, 2008Duane, you *could* do that kind of rerouting of the wiring, but I would suggest getting a new wiring kit and doing it that way. I’ve done the cheap route and it always ends up being a little unreliable – save yourself the headache and swap the wiring out.
by 6mm July 10th, 2008Hey, i have a TM M16A2 and fitting the motor back into the grip is a pain in the *ss. The motor doesnt spring easily or as loosely in the video here, and the grip cap is a nightmare to get back on.
by Kaliber.45 July 12th, 2008Kaliber – That is VERY typical. Work on getting the wires routed inside the handgrip first. It’s difficult to describe and video the exact method I use, but basically try to get the red and black wire side by side (not crossing over each other) inside the handgrip.
by 6mm July 12th, 2008a bit out of the blue but do you know if i could replace my cracked JG M$ CQB abs receiver with a full metal dboys reciever? thanks

I was wondering if you guys were ever going to make the M4/M16 series ever into a podcast available on i-tunes?
by Andy Schrand August 7th, 2008Andy, yes. We’d like to reshoot the M4 video and get more detailed for the iTunes, downloadable version. Just time and money, the usual speedbumps in life that get in the way!
by 6mm August 7th, 2008would you disassemble sg552
by indigo August 8th, 2008Hello, I have an TM M16 A1 and want put a 120M spring into it, I wonder what more parts I need to change to not make anything brake apart?

by mikey August 20th, 2008Thanks so much MechBox.com! I used your guides for disassembling/upgrading/reassembling my A&K M16A4, and even though it was my first time dealing with both M16s and mechboxes (just a sniper guy before this), your two guides allowed me to perform these tasks problem-free.
by Alexander Lee September 13th, 2008I was recently trying to install an upgraded systema hop up bucking in my A&K M4 and was having trouple reassembling it. I did however get the hop up bucking in and my fire rate is a lot better but the bbs kindof drop after about 50ft. How would i fix this please respond or email me tyboyg11@sbcglobal.net
thank you!
Could you someone tell me were to find instructions of how to install a spring guid, pistion, and 6mm bearings.
Thanks again!
by flyboy7200 October 1st, 2008Thank you very much for this video, it was an excellent help to assemble my M4, I still have a problem though, my AEG doesn’t fire in a uprigth position it only fires upside down. I did check the BB receiver and it seems to be ok. Any idea? I will thank you much if you can help me.
by Fernando Flores October 3rd, 2008Fernando i got the solution
1 – use a different Magazine, maybe your magazine can be damaged
2 – if you use a high cap magazine give a good windage
Any Question i will be checking this site frecuently

by Nick November 14th, 2008I have a CA M15a4 and need to replace the selector plate and install a new motor.
1. How hard is it to install a selector plate and how do you do it?
2. How exactly do those wires connect to the motor, your hand obscures that.
by Caleb November 16th, 2008Hi 6mm, first off the videos are outstanding…I’ve opened my M4 a few times but always like to have em playing as a guide…unfortunately after ‘disassembling’ and ‘V2 upgrade’ I’ve started ‘M733 Reassembly’ only to find the audio isn’t working any suggestions. The other videos have audio?? Once again thanks for the work you’re doing on the site.
by Rob December 14th, 2008scratch that its just the first minute or so..
by Rob December 14th, 2008can you post a video on how to repair a hk416 with no full auto firing? and is this same disassembly for hk416?
by enzo December 21st, 2008Thanks for the video. It was really helpfull. It saved me few hours of stress
by Milosz January 28th, 2009Hi, I am about to buy some upgrades for gearbox, but can’t seem to get the screw from the inside where the motor goes to come out, so I can’t get the gearbox out. It seems as though one screw is too far forward and my screw driver can’t fit inside to get it out. What can I do to get the screw out? By the way,my gun is a JG M16A2. Thanks, Joe.
by Joe February 8th, 2009@Joe – I assume you are trying to remove the screw inside the handgrip. The best advice is to get a longer screwdriver so you can reach it without pushing the handle inside the grip. I know that’s probably not the answer you were hoping for, but it’s the best way to handle that situation.
by 6mm February 8th, 2009Hi Rob,
by R7 April 11th, 2009The problem pretty much has to be your selector plate and/ or your selector switch. Or, it might be your cut off lever. Is the selector plate worn out where the selector lever pushes it back and forth? Is the selector switch meshing with the selector plate correctly? Is the small spring attatched to the cut off lever/ selector plate?
If all these are fine, I see no reason why it is acting up.
R7
I have the same problem as mikey and am not sure if it is hop up because some people needed to strip the chrome finish to get it to fit.
by Hunter April 13th, 2009on the black wire i think i broke the plug could i just sauter it back together because theres an opening in the black cover where i can see it broke off from
by jon April 18th, 2009Hi Hunter and Mickey!
by R7 May 1st, 2009OK, try this:
Slide the mechbox into the upper receiver (without the lower receiver) taking care not to let the air nozzle get in the way of the one piece hop unit. Then, slide the mechbox forward until the air nozzle is in the hop up unit. Now, slide the lower receiver over the mechbox. The pin holes should align, and the body should go together just fine.

by ValientE July 20th, 2009So I had my gun upgraded. then I was out playing it started making a grinding noise so I took it apart and put it back together. Now it just spits them out. not fire. So what do I do now?

by Tim August 12th, 2009Hi. Whilst tyring to re attach the Hand Grips on my ICS M4 the Delta Ring assembly has come apart. This comprises of the ring itself, the spring and another component.
Could you give me a some advice/a guide on how to re assemble it? Cheers!
by Tom September 5th, 2009Just thought i would post up again saying my cousin managed to fix the M4
by Tom September 10th, 2009Thank goodness i found this site.
by sam October 9th, 2009The video was great!
by Firefight October 22nd, 2009But I have two small problems,
1) once I put it back together the plunger only goes back about a quater of an inch and than it stops.
the timming is right, it acts like the spring is to strong for the motor.
2)What is the deal with the motor in the handle. there must be some secret to getting it in with out having to force it. Are the two problems related?
