M14 Barrel and Hopup Removal
A quick video of how to remove the barrel and hopup unit for the M14. We used the AGM M14 in this video, but the Tokyo Marui model is just the same. Includes a very quick overview of how to swap the bucking and barrel. M14 provided by Airsplat.com

Definitely do more of these barrel and hopup videos. They’re awesome! I mean, if you’re going for performance, there’s nothing else really besides barrel, hopup, and mechbox.
by Zach July 18th, 2008I was wondering if mechbox could do a fire selection review because both of my firing selecters are full auto
by H July 23rd, 2008can i just removing the outer barrel without removing the gearbox and the hop up dial first? just wanna know if i can quick change the long barrel with short one without spending too much time opening the whole thing, note that i did’n change the hop up and the inner barrel, just the outer barrel
hope someone could help me =)
by mr.x August 2nd, 2008Hi, I was wondering what the inner barrel length of a M14 was compared to the M14 Socom.
by Mr. T August 22nd, 2008The regular M14 is 520 mm long, SOCOM is 440 MM.
I was wondering, I bought A M14 with a broken Flash Hider. Is it removable, or should I say replaceable?
by Otto August 24th, 2008A video on how to remove the outer barrel of an M4/M16 would be really nice !

by Marek November 6th, 2008Yo!
I would like to know how fix the rate of fire on my JG M14. I can’t longer use the semi-auto. Stuck on full auto! I look inside to see if my cute off lever was broken, but no, everything look good!
Please help
Tanks guys!
by Bob Morane December 4th, 2008Nice video could you do one of these on an ak 47 style gun that would be very helpful.
Thanks Mechbox.com
by Dick Brown January 6th, 2009Is this the same as the G&G M14?
by clay March 15th, 2009Hi Bob Morane,
by R7 April 13th, 2009My M4 did the same thing! It would only fire on auto. However, YOU CAN FIX IT. On my gun, the problem was with the selector plate. It got worn down (I’m very sure) from me switching to safe/ semi/ auto so many times. If you replace this part, the gun will probably function!
If it doesn’t, check the cut off lever (you should do this first before you think about ordering a selector plate). If the cut off lever is screwed down to the gearbox to hard, the cut off lever can’t function! So, just loosen the cut off lever a VERY TINY bit to make the CU lever move very freely back and forth.
Please tell me how it works!

I am having alot of trouble trying to get the nub right or sitting back in the hop up unit. In the video you just have… make sure the nub is in there before you replace the barrel… How does it sit in there? I am replacing the inner barrel of the gun and the nub just kinda fell out now how do I put it back in there?
by Thomas May 6th, 2009Getting the cylindrical “nub” back in the hopup unit takes some patience and a small screwdriver (or similar small tool). Balance the nub inside the hopup to keep it from rolling out, then use a screwdriver to carefully align inside the hopup chamber.
by 6mm May 7th, 2009Greetings:
I like to see a detailed disassembly/reassembly on the KART M-14 EBR. Also a detailed gearbox upgrade video would be a great help. I own the KART M-14 and have been experiencing feed issues, I’ve concluded the hop-up is to blame. My weapon simply came un-done. The barrel assembly simply slid off. Any assistance would be a great help.
Thanks,
