    or show a link

    by alex June 24th, 2008

  2. nevermind im an idiot and i found it sorry haha

    by alex June 24th, 2008

  3. Is this Disassembly the same process as with the Classic Army Version? Thanks

    by Kyle June 25th, 2008

  4. Kyle – The process is basically the same…the CA version is very similar, essentially a TM knockoff.

    by 6mm June 25th, 2008

  5. how do i remove the barrel so it can be changed for another one?

    by toby June 27th, 2008

  6. toby, you have to remove the hopup/barrel from the G36 and do a little disassembly. Check your email.

    by 6mm June 28th, 2008

  7. the pin holding the magazine well won’t budge, and I did remove the nut
    thanks

    by andrew June 30th, 2008

  8. by the way it is an echo 1

    by andrew June 30th, 2008

  9. nevermind i was just afraid to push hard enough
    sorry

    by andrew June 30th, 2008

  10. i can’t figure out how to remove the barrel either
    thanks for you time

    by andrew June 30th, 2008

  11. I cant seem to push the hop up forward. I have a Echo 1 . Maybe i need to push harder or somethings blocking the way. Help would be appriceated.

    by Messy July 6th, 2008

  12. Are there any videos of how to conduct a spring upgrade of a G36? -Thanks

    by Mark July 7th, 2008

  13. Not yet, but replacing the spring is basically the same as the V3 video. Obviously, the mechbox has some differences with the safety, etc. – but it’s the same inside with regard to the spring.

    by 6mm July 7th, 2008

  14. I am trying to do this with my echo 1 g36c and it isn’t working too well. I have the screw on the stock, and the one on the motor plate off. I also have the magwell removed. I can move the hop up unit away from the air seal nozzle, but when I try to pull the lower receiver off it hardly budges.

    by Jack C. July 12th, 2008

  15. Jack, I’ll see if I can get my hands on the JG model and figure out what’s holding you up.

    by 6mm July 12th, 2008

  16. Nevermind. I got someone to hold the hop up back so I could pull the lower receiver out with both hands. Sorry about the inconvenience.

    by Jack C. July 15th, 2008

  17. Well I have a CA CA8-2 and while firing i think the hop up unit came lose and fell off. So when I took off the magwell 4 pieces dropped: a half circle black plastic, a small black plastic and on top a tiny white circular rubber, and a gold metal ring. I know the CA and TM G36 are similar when disassembling so i did the same to my CA8. However, this vid only shows how to take out a mechbox but not putting the hop up unit back together…how can I put them back? unfortunately I bought the AEG 2nd hand so I’m left without instructions of any sort.

    Thanks

    Jack

  18. Hey guys i read somewere that the star G36 uses a Ver. 2 mechbox. is this correct?

    by Daniel August 4th, 2008

  19. Nope, I’m pretty sure star g36es use version 3 mechboxes. The leader of my team has one.

    by Jack C. August 5th, 2008

  20. I’ve got a star g36 and the hop ups broken, do you have any advice or links that show how to replace the hop unit correctly? I have disassembled the gun to get the unit out but there were a few bits missing and know i dont know what goes where, barrel position etc.
    Thanks

    by tom August 9th, 2008

  21. I got everything out but i cant push the hop up back to remove the lower reciever and btw i got the jg version
i’m dissembling it because there’re bb’s stuck inside and I need to get them out. Could it be the bbs that are preventing the hop up from being pushed back?

    by Gene August 11th, 2008

  22. Hey guys. A BB jammed in my CA SL8 a while ago, and made the grinding sound when pulling the trigger. I unjammed and cleaned the gun free of debris. I stripped the aeg down to its gearbox and stock, and it still makes the grinding sound, so I’ve narrowed it down to the mechbox. It still cycles and fires very weakly. I’m novice at the inside of a gearbox, anyone got some ballparks to what it might be?

    by Riptyn August 22nd, 2008

  23. Does the older Echo 1 G36C have a Ver 2 or 3 gearbox, and are the gearbox dissassmbly close to the ones on this site. Thanks for your time.

    by Derek August 30th, 2008

  24. Jing Gong and Echo 1 G36c’s both have version 3 gearboxes.

If you need help with the hop-up, take a look at this guide:

  25. Can you make a video of a barrel and hop up swap?

    by Denis September 4th, 2008

  26. My gun makes a clicking sound when trying to pull the trigger all the way back to shoot and i dont think it is the battery but it gets warm every shot and it wont shoot a bb when pulling the trigger. It is apart right now and i had 2 bb’s jammed in there a while ago but got them out any help?

    by Jake September 6th, 2008

  27. How does the echo1 G36c differ from the classic army G36c?
Is there anything in particular that I should be aware of?

    by Jon September 9th, 2008

  28. Hi, i saw that there was someone asking about changing the inner barrel in a g36c,i was wondering if you could give me the information you gave him, thanks

by Zack Munson September 12th, 2008

  29. I have a JG G36c and i need to replace the spring. I have never opened up an AEG and i don’t want to mess up my gun so before i tried i wanted to make sure that it’s the same process for the JG and the one in the video. Also, how do you get to the spring once i remove the mechbox. If you could reply to my email that would be much more convenient.

    thanx,

    by wawan_dick September 24th, 2008

  31. Be careful while removing the gearbox out of the grip as the selector switch can snap very easily. You can even switch from semi to auto to help it out.

    by Steve September 25th, 2008

  32. I have a JG G36c and i have already followed the steps to remove the mechbox. I need to replace the spring and was wondering if you could tell me how (or make a video) to do so. Video is preferred. Thanks, please reply soon

by Tristan Simpson November 14th, 2008

  39. How do you remove the selector plate? does it slide out or do you have to unscrew something somewhere?

    by Gaz November 21st, 2008

  40. To remove the selector plate, you must first remove the trigger electric components.

    by molybdenum December 14th, 2008

  47. My CA G36K makes a buzzing noise when I press the trigger. It was suggested that I try to heighten the motor, or that it may be a bad motor cage. I’m unsure how to fix either of these and there are no nearby airsoft stores.

    by Ryne December 18th, 2008

  48. How do you get the nut of the SRC/TSD g36c magwell off? It’s just flat; I can’t put a screwdriver or allen wrench in it.

    -Thanks!

  49. Hey would you guys put up how to do barrel swaps and how to take apart and put back together the hop up on the g36c. and i was wondering is the kwa g36c and the tm the same set up for the barrel and hop up?

    by John L. December 29th, 2008

  50. Love to do a G36 video again! First, we need a new camera, then we’ll have to find a G36 to crack open!

    by 6mm December 29th, 2008

  51. how do you get the barrel out?

    by geant January 11th, 2009

  52. for all who were wondering how to get their barrel out of their g36 i have the answer. the barrel goes strait into the hop up system, there should be a small plastic piece on the top of the hop up near the barrel, im not entirely sure if you need to remove this part, but i did. the only thing holding the barrel into the hop up system is a small ruber seal and a small brass ring that fits around the barrel but just hardly inside of the hope up, but really all you have to do is pull sorta hard on the barrel away from the hop up. getting the rubber seal on is where it gets sorta tricky. this is where you want to have that little brass ring removed. also there should be a rubber notch in the seal that has to go right above the small hole in the barrel. once you have put the rubber seal on the barrel carefully slide it back into the hop up system.after slide the small brass ring over the barrel and push it into the hop up system with a small flat head screw driver or maybe your finger. then YOU MUST put that small little plastic piece back on the top of your hop up other wise you hop up system WILL NOT WORK. then carefully slide your hopup system back into your gun.

Please let me know if this help, email me at rbeneteau@comcast.net thanks

    motor

    by Christian May 23rd, 2009

  65. Hey

your vids are awesome, but like Christian i would also like a video, or some email instructions on how to remove the inner barrel and hop-up from my G36C as i pan to upgrade it.

    Regards

    by Tim May 24th, 2009

  66. Its fairly simple to get at the barrel, i did from just looking in about 25mins

Take off the hand guard, and undo all the small allen/hex nuts along the length of the barrel, then push on the Hop up end and twist, (similar to a light bulbs bayonet fitting- its also spring loaded) once released just slowly slide the barrel out, taking care not to lose the hop up rubber.

When putting your tight bore barrel in just be sure to allign the hop up rubbers with the square hole

    easy

    by Jon May 29th, 2009

  67. Hey just got a brand new JG G36c. But its not working right at all the bbs are fireing but only going about 10ft away. I think it could be hop up related but im not sure. Any ideas as to what it is / needs doing? Also two of my friends got similar guns at the same time and they have the same problem.

  71. How do you remove the inner barrel and hop-up in a G36k?

    by Doug June 14th, 2009

  72. dumbass its called a gearbox

by ur moms man June 25th, 2009

  73. An easier way to remove the lower receiver and gearbox from the upper receiver and hop-up unit is the take out the gas block before removing the lower receiver. this is done by removing three screw nears the front of the gun (not the rail) and gently sliding the outer barrel out. (after removing foregrip of course) This helps if 1. you have a particularly stiff hop-up unit, or 2. the air nozzle is just a bit to long to come out of the hop-up unit. Also, thanks for the guide, it was very helpful to me the first few times I disassembled my SRC/TSD G36K

by Jourdan Dubea July 6th, 2009

  74. Can you please provide hop up and bucking instructions. How to install the hop up of the G36 and how to install the bucking. Thanks

  77. How do i take the barrel out?

    by Taylor October 6th, 2009

  78. I used this dissasembly video and the reassembly video to take apart and put together my g36c. I had to clean out a jam in the barrel, and now its working like a charm! thanks for posting this. Good hunting! ;)

    by Taylor October 13th, 2009

  79. Can you make a video on how to remove the barrel and hop up from the plastic thing its connected to? This is important for switching in a tightbore barrel. Thanks

    by Dan October 13th, 2009

  80. Hi,
I have a JG (Jing Gong) G36c witch is a direct copy of Tokyo Marui’s G36c. I’ve been considering about upgrading my gun, I’ve heard that JG’s G36c also has those ordinary nylon/plastic bearings so I have decided to change the bearings to metal ones. I saw there was different metal bearings made for JG mechboxes, the bearings in the JG mechbox is a bit thinner so Modify makes bearings specially made for the JG mechbox, but dosent normal bearings for Tokyo Marui guns fit into the Jing Gong mechbox?

    Thanks,
    Kenneth

    by Kenneth October 18th, 2009

  81. Hello,
I have a JG G36c and i finally got out the lower receiver and a bent thin (feels like aluminum) metal peace came out. i know i bent it cause i pulled the receiver out with force cause i though i was just being weak. turns out that the the metal was in the way. i wanted to know if it was of importance because in the TM model you show in the video doesn’t have that part. Im just making sure i didn’t break anything of vaule. can you please get back to me.
    Thanks

    by William October 22nd, 2009

  82. So my friend has a g36 that is brand new, but jams every few minutes. He says that he may let me fix it.

Observations: bbs get caught in chamber, and tube thing next to chamber pushes more bbs into barrel which do not come out, unless they are pushed out through wrong way.

I think that barel in hop up may be too tight, or roof of reciever is to high in accordance with gearbox.

He has gotten two with the exact same problem. Any suggestions?
