    Thanks!

    by Koree June 29th, 2008

  5. Yes! As soon as we can get our hands on an AUG.

  6. You should make a video about cleaning and lubing, where to clean and lube and how to do it.

    Thanks a lot,
    Andrew

  7. Andrew – Thanks for the suggestions.

  8. Hi, great video. I was wondering though if there were any special pointers to know about when opening up this mechbox, it doesn’t necessarily look very conventional. I also wanted to see if there was anything special about the hopup assembly in this gun that I should be worried about, especially in regards to removal/replacement. Thank you!

  9. A helpful video, on a very helpful site overall. I would really like to see a video on disassembly/reassembly of the AUG version 3 gearbox, because it’s slightly different than the version 3 gearbox video guide you guys do have. Thanks!

  12. I love the video on to take apart my gun. Now i have a MP7 and I was wondering when that was going to be uploaded here.

  13. It is alot easier if you undo the two back screws and carefully open the back a little bit. then you can pull the mechbox out.

  15. Hey, this is my exact gun and this helps a lot. It started off shooting very well for a good price, then all of a sudden it doesnt shoot the width of a road. I need to check its compression etc., and this helps me a lot.

  16. Thank you for the video. I was originally taking about the entire gun apart just to get to the mechbox! Now I see it’s very easy and much more convenient to pop the back plate alone and the box will slide out. Thanks mechbox.com :D .

  17. Does this same procedure work for getting the mechbox out out of the CA version of the AUG? I had head somewhere you actually have to cut the gun body for that one.

  18. Hi,

I have the JG clone of this gun and have fully stripped the mechbox. Any tips for re-assembly? My main problem is anti-reversal latch and trigger both being sprung loaded and trying to escape.

    Nice video though!

  19. please done a review who can rezolv the broblem witch semi-auto shooting

  20. I agree with what Tuck shop stated above, I have a JG AUG, and if you loosen/removes the 3 bolts holding the butt-stock together, the stock will then split open enough to allow the mechbox to easily slide out the back, while (at least with the JG) the rest of the AUG body has been glue together, as you don’t need to take it apart for anything. None of this slamming my gun against a box business.

Curious about the hop-up, and upgrading it, I bought a metal-hop up unit and was told i could modify my gun to fit it, but that would be quite stupid to do as the hop-up on the AUG attaches to the barrel, and slides out with the barrel, while the one i bought would need to be permanently housed inside the body. Which i previously stated doesn’t even open up to allow for that kind of modification…

I’ll be back in touch with that gentleman soon enough!

  25. My aug mechbox seizes up when I pull the trigger, at first I thought it was just the fuse (’cause it was blowing them) but the motor is fine, any thoughts

  28. I have a TM AUG and I took it apart using your video, but when I pulled my box out, spring on the top and pieces few everywhere. When I tried putting it back on, the spring keeps slipping off and I can’t put it back in. Please help!
